I Better Pass My Neighbor Concept And You.

While growing up our parents were fond of using “your mates have done so and so” as a means of forcing us out of our comfort zone just to keep up with the Jones’.

Those who failed to understand the purpose of such statements grew up hardwired to believe being better than their neighbours is their life purpose. There are many today who will do the unthinkable just to “shook the eye” of their detractors and end up being unable to enjoy their success with fulfillment.

There are many others who are in a rat race just to be like someone else. For years I have seen twitter accounts (even verified ones) cloning my tweets/timeline just to be me. Little do they know that I am in transition myself and never pitch a tent at any comfort zone, as there is no arrival in the journey called life.

We are all uniquely made and every one of us have something to contribute, if only we can find purpose and manifest. There is no such thing as “your mates” as no seven kids ever play for seven years. Life will happen to them and each will follow their respective path.

Everyone in my class in primary, secondary or the university are not where I am today and neither am I where they are. No old students association WhatsApp group can fill the gap, experience and exposure in between those years.

“There’s no such thing as being behind in life. There’s only where you are and the path that you are creating. To be behind means to be behind someone walking the same path as you.”

No one is walking the same path as you Distinguished.

No one is inferior and no one is superior. We all share humanity uniquely.
